A Far Cry from Grateful

Years ago I was a far cry away from where I want to be – in charge of my own life, running my own business, flexible and quiet Saturdays, living life with true freedom.

I’ve always been a passionate person; but sometimes passion superseded logic and a systematic, submissive approach that God required of me.

As I lay here in my bed on a quiet Saturday morning, I recall the challenges God took me through – the growing pains, the uncomfortable shedding of myself, the tests, frustrations, and conquests – I listen to the birds chirp outside of my window and smell the breath of the morning dew. I realize I am blessed and that I must be thankful wherever God places me while living out the greatness of each space He takes me through – be it mountaintop or valley low.

I have watched God miraculously change many things in my life. One of the biggest things was ME. And for that, I am truly grateful.
