It is important that in all we do to take rest. Whatever way you do take rest, it is important that we stop, rest, reflect, and take time to look at one another and to love on each other.
“In six days the Lord made heaven and Earth, the seas and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
Rest is sacred. It is deemed holy by God. There is something that happens in the spirit of rest. It is a time of holy reflection, listening to God, allowing God to speak rejuvenation to your body, mind, and soul, and enjoying the labor that your hands and mind has created. Rest is something that should never be avoided, yet welcomed with holy invocation.
When we begin to take rest seriously is when we will see a new kind of fruit in our lives. One that keeps us happy, one that you will thrive for, one that our bodies, minds, and spirits will positively respond to.
What kind of fruit are you looking to yield? One can only hope that it is the kind that continuously feeds us the energy that we need.
When we truly take Sabbath, it is amazing how much more effective our work would be. It will be focused, precise, and effective.
And now, on this Sabbath day, I take the Lord’s rest that He freely gives, and I will honor Him in doing so!
What challenges must you overcome to receiving the Lord’s perfect rest, and what actions will you start taking to ensure that you receive it for your good?
