When you ask God for guidance, He is sure to deliver.
For me, pursuing Godliness has caused me to truly evaluate areas of my life. I want to be consistent in my walk with God. I want to be faithful.
Pursuing Godliness causes a true turning of a leaf after the rain; pursuing Godliness means I stop and recognize the Holy Spirit’s prompting; pursuing Godliness means I consider every action taken and move speedily to be found holy and acceptable to the Lord (Reference, Romans 12:1).
There is something new to be found in pursuit. It’s the surprise of discovery – the awe of finding something so new, so convicting, and so needed.
A Prayer in Pursuit of Righteousness
So, here I am, Lord, relentlessly pursuing you for newness, for cleansing, for Godly truth, wisdom and action to become a part of my daily living in you. I affirm that I will honor you with my actions, living under the guidance and prompting of the Holy Spirit. My life is yours, and I pursue your righteous ways, your wisdom and Godly truth. Let my works display your righteousness and your favor. Let my actions reflect your righteousness. And let me always be found in your truth.
