Growing up, the library was my happy place. I thought about that today and further thought to myself what a wonderful treat that would be to sit amid the quiet calm while having a great adventure. One day, perhaps I will be able to walk among the shelves and sit in the quiet zones again (we are still taking safety precautions in this day and time). It is such a poignant reminder of the wonderful opportunities afforded to us is this life.
I remember my mother taking us to the library as children and pre-teens and how I never wanted to leave – I’d always beg her for just a little more time, and she was always happy to allow it. I loved reading and the freedom to be able to make choices and to enjoy interactive activities that allowed me to explore.
I thank God for that beautiful memory today; and although I cannot physically visit right now, I have a substantial amount of books in my home…hey, maybe I can turn that into a weekend project of sorts…😁
Are there memories that bring you joy? How can you incorporate them/their memory into your life today?
