This evening I explored some Ginger Peach tea that I’d stored in my cabinet. I’d been holding onto it because it had been gifted to me, but hadn’t yet used it because I find that gifts given to me are often viewed as sentimental to me.
But for some reason, tonight I wanted tea and felt bold moves toward using this one. When I poured the cup, a burst of florals and fruit filled the air and the tea developed in the cup before me. It made me wish that I hadn’t waited all these years to experience it, but I was glad I go to tonight.
Then I realized: “Why wait? Experience all of life’s joys – both big and small!”
While gifts often hold sentiment, I have been realizing in my homemaking and organizing that gifts are meant to be used. They are meant to bring us joy. They created new memories while linking us to beautiful stories of our lives together. Remember: what you don’t use can spoil, go to waste, or be easily forgotten, and you will never get an opportunity to experience the joy that it was meant to bring you. So, go ahead! Experience every gift and joy that life is meant to bring!
