Each time I get massage therapy, the therapist tells me to drink a lot of water in order to flush the toxins out of my body (because, as your muscles are massaged, toxins are released into your blood).
My body has been a bit topsy turvy this week when it came to my health, so today was one of those days where rest was a demand and muscle therapy a must.
The deeper and more streamlined the massage became, the more my body responded to relinquish the pain. While I was there, the Lord spoke something so profound to me: When we get a massage, we are getting some things worked on and worked out of us. Afterwards, we have to hydrate enough to flush those things out that are no longer good for our best self. Our process with Him is just like this.
This word was so deep and invigorating, because, as the Lord moves things around in our lives, He gets deep into the threads of our lives to do some adjusting and He knows the just right pattern and the just right process to rid your life of any mess or toxins that try to intertwine themselves into our life. Then He gives a final assignment over to us so that we can truly be renewed and refreshed…
Our task? Take the step to flush them out for good – to release that which is not good for you – that which was never good for you, and step into the newness that God has for you to experience.
God will take the first steps to orchestrate a cleansing, renewal, and just process in our lives; but it is us – we, you, I – that must take the next step to complete the process. We must make the choice.
So I sit here drinking my water and writing, flushing out any toxins that remain.
What choices is God challenging you with “flushing out” today? Take a moment, and think of those things that God has perfectly orchestrated for the betterment of your life. Now, make a “just right” decision, and determine in your heart today that if God removes those things which are not good, it is you that must complete the process to keep them out.
Then, look to the Lord as you continue to walk in and experience His goodness each and every day, and your life will surely be the better for it. Trust God, for He truly knows what is the best for you.

great is your faithfulness.
