Simple, yet so impactful is this phrase we can recite to ourselves to whittle away the sudden onset of anxiety, the fear of incompletions, an overwhelming day.
I count away as I reach my daily stretch goal, adding in a couple newer – bulkier – elements that cause my left knee to click and my nerves to quiver. 10 is today’s number – I CAN do it.
In the moment, the push can seem as though it is a bit too much; it may make you feel the need to stop. But in the end, continuing to push forward and meet the mark set by God – one that was set for which He knew you would accomplish – you’ll come to understand that it was one set forth for your best benefit.
14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Every day won’t always be easy; every step of the process won’t always be so smooth… But every time you put yourself to the test, put your best foot forward, and fulfill the task, you have won – and will continue to win in Godly favor.
