Passion Series is about a journey of passion, and recently, we have encouraged our readers to #rediscover their passion. You don’t have to start big, but starting somewhere is great! I love to cook and bake and to turn passions into memorable moments in our home. Today, we made pizza at home #LIVE on Passion Series with you. We talked about the joy of cooking, making memories, incorporating God into our passions, and exploring our interest. What are ways that you are rediscovering passion? Watch our #LIVE at Passion Series on Facebook, and grab the recipe below!
Recipe:
Pre-heat oven to 475 for thin crust or 425 for deep dish. Grease a 12 or 14 inch pizza pan (not mandatory if you have a pizza stone).
Pizza Crust Mix (or pre-made pizza dough ball – or make one from scratch)
Brush pizza dough with 1 tsp olive oil. Cover & rest 5 minutes
Lightly dust pan or pizza stone with cornmeal or flour. Press dough into prepared pan or on pizza stone. Generously prick dough with fork.
Bake on designated setting for 5 minutes. Remove from oven.
Add marinara and desired toppings. Bake at designated setting for additional 9 to 11 minutes or until crust is golden brown and toppings thoroughly heated.
Enjoy!
Special Notes: Since we love to cook, we added a little flavor with our own homemade marinara. We also chose two cheeses: mozzarella and Parmesan. We finished it off with some of our favorite toppings: pepperoni, Bratwurst, grilled onions, and red & green bell peppers. We also brushed our crust with homemade garlic butter.
Remember, in learning how to rediscover passion, start somewhere – and start in a place that is meaningful to you! Make memories together, and find joy in doing so!
