Building from the Ground-Up, Part 1

A Time of Preparation, III: Building from the Ground-Up, Part 1

From the series, God is Building New Process in You. As we discuss A Time of Preparation, the first segment of the ‘Building’ series, we discover the necessity of learning how to become prepared as God moves us into new seasons defined purpose.

We have laid the foundation; now let us build from the ground-up.

Joshua and Zerubbabel were hand-picked by God to complete the work of His temple. They were brought about because they were different, they were obedient, and God trusted them. Joshua was entrusted to lead God’s people; Zerubbabel was entrusted with the completion of the temple – he was called to lay the foundation and also to finish the process by applying the final capstone. The capstone itself was yet a small final piece; but it represented the completion of a significant assignment directed by God.

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand” (Zechariah 4:10 NLT).

As we walk through God building new process in us, there are yet many small pieces that make up the finish. Although they are yet small components, they are meaningful to the big picture that God wants us to see.

In this new season, a time of preparation, let nothing and no one consider God’s work in you as “a small or minor thing.” And don’t be discouraged as He takes time with you.

As God intended to use Zerubbabel in His building process, He intends to use you.

Let Him complete His work, and trust His process because we bear fruit and we prosper when we allow Him to complete His work within us.

As you allow God to work in you, find comfort in knowing that He rejoices in your allowing Him to build His new process within you.
