Banana Bread Dedicated to God

Tonight’s blog post is written in honor of the Lord and is written in Thanksgiving to Him.

It’s a recipe!

This banana nut bread is my FAVORITE RECIPE. I make it often, and it’s a wondrous experience.

I ALWAYS have bananas in my kitchen. We use it for breakfast, for a quick snack, to make pancakes, for shakes, and of course, banana bread. I get so excited when I make it, and I love to add new elements to it. The Lord allowed me to add a new fancy element that gives this banana bread a creamier, softer texture – even more than the recipe was before!

So, without further adieu, here it is:

Ingredients:

3 Ripened Bananas

2 Large Eggs

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Stick Unsalted Butter

1/4 Cup Cream Cheese

1 Cup Sugar

1 1/4 Cup Flour

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Cup Peacans

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, then set aside.

In another bowl, mash 3 ripened bananas and mix in 2 large eggs. Add cream cheeseand mix. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and fold. Add this mixture to your creamed butter & sugar bowl and mix well.

Sift flour, baking soda, and salt over top of mixture. Gently fold in to avoid cloud flare, then mix ingredients well.

Now add in your pecans, lightly crushing them over the bowl. Fold in well.

Transfer your mixture to a bread pan, and over top of the layered mixture, crush a final few pecans to finish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

This recipe is by far my MOST FAVORITE. It’s rich, creamy texture gives it such a beautifully, savory and meaningful experience. The little hint of cream cheese softens the bread’s texture that much more than before. It leads us to desire more, but with self-control.

The reason I dedicated this to God is because He answered my prayer. He has allowed me to experience His direct goodness and loving kindness. So the very thing that brings me so much joy all truly belongs to Him.

After all, He has allowed me to create and explore in all of it. And, my husband special requested it and The Lord inspired me to make it for my husband tonight. 🤗

Thank you, God, for You truly are great!

P.S., Kaye Howard
