Letting God Be Your Encourager

The Lord is not slack concerning His promises toward us.

This morning as I looked out my kitchen window, there was such a sense of newness to the day – a sense of encouragement filled the air. I remember just soaking in the quiet warm joy of that moment, realizing that an inspiring movement from God was taking place.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9 KJV.

God is near and is always moving within our lives. He answers prayers; He sees when you’re hurting; and He knows just what to send for you to experience His perfect refreshing. God’s plans are always for our best. Trust Him because He knows just what it takes to encourage you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV.

Let the Lord God be your encouragement, and He will always see you through.
