Taking a step back and delving into rest that your body requires is a necessary aspect of resting in God’s presence.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Just like we close our eyes to rest in sleep each night, it is here in these moments of resting, a setting aside, that we are able to experience the benefits of rest in God’s presence and mental and physical repair – because, after all, He designed and designated it so.
Resting in God’s presence requires us to readily be available to give up our own methods and put His methods into practice.
Today I experienced a place of rest and rejuvenation throughout the day, even though my body was feeling pain and even though I had other plans of getting a few things accomplished. Resting in God’s way allowed me to gain rest without the barriers of time or duty.
So, how can you benefit from giving up your methodologies in order to experience rest in God’s presence?
