Following God’s direction for your best benefit

When God gives us a new sense of direction, it is up to us to follow for our best benefit. It is for our own good; it is for our success; it is for our spiritual development in Him.

Scripture says that God’s ways are not ours. His ways are above ours.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

So, following His direction is really a measure of accountability, obedience, and good character. Following God’s direction allows us clarity of thought, of mind, and of purpose. There are new ways of discovery – and ways we’ll only find in God.

Delight thyself in God, and He will give you the desires of thine heart. Commit/submit to the Lord’s pattern. He will guide you (Ref, Psalm 37:4-5).
